This is the Amazon Basics rubber hex dumbbell, 30 lb, side by side with a 30 lb Living.Fit dumbbell I also own. You might think dumbbells are dumbbells, but there are a few small differences worth knowing before you pick.
Both have rubber-encased hex heads and both are clearly labeled. The fonts are different, and I actually like the Amazon Basics font a little better. The real difference is the grip. The Amazon Basics handle has much coarser knurling and a bit more of a divot that widens out. The Living.Fit is a smooth curve all the way through, with a finer texture.
Honest note: my own preference is the finer texture. The Amazon Basics grip feels a little scrapey, a little sandpapery. If your hands are calloused from lifting a lot or working in a trade, I'd go with the coarser Amazon Basics. If your hands are less calloused, or you don't wear gloves, you may prefer the finer one.
My verdict: they're both great weights, and they do the job they're meant to.
